For Fashion Quarterly, this shoot brought together two of my favourite Hollywood things: set building and continuous lighting. The concept centred around the colours and intricate details of the garments, and we designed a set that reflected their complexity and depth. Continuous lighting allowed us to sculpt the fabrics in real time, creating a dynamic play of light and form. The day wasn’t without challenges—Sydney recorded its hottest day of the month, and the studio hit 45 degrees Celsius after the air conditioning failed. The intense heat turned the space into a hairdresser’s humidity dream, testing the team’s resilience. Despite everything, the final result made every effort worthwhile, perfectly capturing the vision.
