For Vera Blue’s The Way That You Love Me, I directed a music video that brought the song’s raw intensity to life. Shot in a Melbourne warehouse, the video combined sleek black styling, dynamic choreography, and the intricate art of Shibari, with suspended performers adding a bold and striking edge. The visuals leaned into the song’s emotional tension, blending movement, fashion, and texture to create a cinematic and evocative atmosphere. It was an exciting opportunity to push creative boundaries and explore a darker aesthetic, marking a powerful evolution in Vera Blue’s artistry.
We could only suspend our dancer’s for 10 mins at a time. The entire Shibari scene was shot in 2 takes.
