Benn Jae is a multifaceted creative talent who began his artistic journey at the Conservatorium of Music in Australia, pursuing a Bachelor of Music. He transitioned from music into fashion, where he developed a stellar reputation as a session stylist for prominent celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan, Paula Abdul, M.I.A., P!nk, Joe Manganiello, and Cyndi Lauper. His passion led him to the runways of Paris, London, Milan, and ultimately New York, where he worked under renowned photographers like David LaChapelle and Patrick Demarchelier, inspiring his exploration of fashion photography.
Jae's cinematic approach to photography naturally transitioned into directing, where he is now best known. His directorial achievements include music videos for acclaimed artists like The Veronicas, Stan Walker, Grinspoon, Gin Wigmore, Boy & Bear, NataleBassingwaite, Venice Qin and Vera Blue. Jae's videos for Jessica Mauboy's ‘Little Things’ and Havana Brown's ‘Run the Night’ were finalists for Best Video at the Australian Aria Music Awards. His directorial accomplishments extend into film, with his short film ‘THE HUNTED’ receiving accolades at Academy Award qualifying festivals, including the Saint Kilda Film Festival, Maryland Film Festival, and Chelsea Film Festival. Jae's feature film debut, BISCUIT, is scheduled for production in November 2025.
Jae's creative prowess has also seen success in large-scale advertising. As Creative Director, he has contributed to ideation and brand development for global brands like Adidas, Nike, Icebreaker, Universal and SONY while working with esteemed agencies such as 72 & Sunny, Mother, Saatchi & Saatchi, AJF Partnership, McCann, and BWM.
